Luncheon hostesses can volunteer to sign up to be a Lunch Hostess or a Potluck Hostess. Speakers and entertainment are often engaged for the monthly meetings..
On the fourth Sunday of the month, the members attend as a group the 11:00 a.m. Mass. Two members take up the Eucharistic gifts. Many of our members are Eucharistic Ministers. Members can help serve at funeral receptions for Women’s Club members and their families…..
Service activities include assistance with church, flowers and sacristan responsibilities. Club members play an important part in the upkeep of the altar with volunteers cleaning and helping those who decorate the altar, care for the plants, change the Holy Water, and care for the altar cloths.
Through fundraising, the Women’s Club members help with the Parish. Yearly donations are made to various groups: Parish Food Bank, Fr. Sproul Fund (tuition assistance), CCD, Noah Homes, and Church/Hall improvements.
During the year, there are bus trips to local areas and Laughlin, Nevada. There is a bake sale in the spring and a white elephant sale in the fall. A luncheon/card party, including a silent auction, a raffle and a book sale, also occur in the fall.
